Production Engineers
Job Description:
Proactive Production Engineer to join a Manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and practical experience in production environments involving CNC machining, press brakes, and tooling
To work across the full production lifecycle – from design for manufacturing through to Production and Process improvement.
The Engineer will play a key role in driving efficiency, supporting the introduction of new products, solving production challenges, and identifying opportunities for process automation and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the production team in optimizing Manufacturing Processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement practical solutions to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with design and development teams to support the introduction of new products into production.
- Evaluate and improve existing tooling and fixtures to enhance manufacturing capability.
- Identify automation opportunities and assist in implementing solutions to streamline operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations and internal quality standards.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Several years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including press brakes, CNC machining, and tooling.
- Completed an Engineeringapprenticeship/HNC with hands-on CNC/machining experience.
- Proven ability to diagnose issues and develop practical, effective Engineering solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous work involving conveyor systemsor material handling equipment.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing documentation tools.
